Honestly, this seems like a middle class problem to me. I was 40 before I even had internet (dial-up), and 45 before I could afford cable TV and high speed internet. So, while I will admit that it’s nice the way it is, relatively well off people having to pay a few more dollars a month hardly seems like a crime. And there are simply much bigger problems that need attention. There are millions right here in the US who have no homes or healthcare – let alone internet access.
It’s not all about money. It’s about access to information. People paying to push fake news. Charities and nonprofits unable to afford their sites to be viewed by anyone.
